A Coach:
Matt is a NESTA Certified Endurance Sports Trainer and has coached
hundreds of athletes around the world. Matt started his
coaching career in 2001, and since then he has been
instrumental in helping beginner, intermediate and advanced athletes to
reach their triathlon performance goals. Matt has had
success coaching everyone from seasoned Ironman competitors to
first-time sprint distance athletes. His understanding
of the physical requirements, challenges and needs of
triathletes at all levels has allowed Matt to be very
effective at providing valuable support and insight to each of
his athletes.
An Athlete:
Matt is an amateur triathlete who consistently places high
among athletes in his age category. Matt participated in his
first endurance event at age 8 and has made health and
athletic excellence a personal pursuit ever since. As a
collegiate athlete Matt was exposed to various nutrition and
training regimens that have helped him to enjoy success
competing as a triathlete. He has experience completing
triathlon events from sprint to Ironman and has finished
numerous ultra-distance cycling events, marathons and running
events.
A Motivator:
Matt has helped to motivate hundreds of athletes to reach
for and achieve their athletic performance and fitness
goals. Matt understands how challenging it
can be to manage a busy schedule and fit time in for
training. Regardless of your daily schedule, he can prepare
a personalized training plan that is specific to the time that you
can allocate to training. Each plan is customized to fit
your training preferences and becomes a highly motivating "road
map" that can guide you to the successful

Saturday I completed IM Florida. I had a great time! I felt really
strong the entire race. (Finish time 11h20m). I'm really happy
with my results especially in the marathon. I always have
struggled with my running in races in the past; but definitely not
this time....The training plan that you created for me worked
perfectly! It was really hard for me balancing family, work
and training but the sacrifice was well worth it.
This is the best race that I have had in ten years of doing
triathlons. And the best of all, it happened during my
first full IM.
